Ok, the world of Wool is starting to work for me. I wish we spent a bit less time climbing the stairs, but that's a stylistic choice on the part of the writer, and I get it; it sets a tone. With Juliette we seem to have finally settled on the sort of protagonist who can sustain an interesting story within this world, and I find her to be absolutely lovely. The longer format served this story well. I just wish there was a way to ignore the plot point about the screens that I hate so much. Grrrr.
